Alex + David | Reliving the Day

Having a wedding at McNay Art Museum is the perfect place for two individuals to start their lives together. We remember many key moments of Alex + David’s Wedding at McNay. The love the have for one another is sincere, enduring, and perfect. Shooting weddings is a great joy for us! There is nothing more sublime than witnessing the beginning of a family and of a life.

  Wedding Prep

Celebrating this day began at the Embassy Suites in San Antonio. This is where nerves, anxiety, and all of the other emotions surrounding weddings come together to form an energy that is felt. From Alex’s first look with dad to David buttoning up his sleeves; all theses little moments are captured for all eternity. We knew we were serving a special bride when Alex ran into another bride wearing her dress and Alex expressed her excitement for the other bride’s day.

Wedding at McNay | Ceremony

Traveling, by bus, to her wedding at McNay Art Museum, Alex and her bridesmaids laughed the entire ride there. Awaiting Alex, was her handsome groom, dave. With his back turned Alex approached Dave, gently tapped him on the shoulder and the two of them enjoyed a first look. Mitzi, with Bride on a Budget, ever present, astutely ensured all of the day flowed with the gentle ease of that warm summer’s day. Evember Floral busied themselves with decorating McNay’s reception hall as guests were gathering.

Now is the time for Nuptials; as the processions…proceed, we heard David’s breath quicken through our headphones. Alex approaches, and David’s eyes waters with a flood of emotion. Alex, escorted by dad, is finally handed off to her groom. They seal their love with a kiss and it’s time to party!

Wedding at McNay |Reception

First dances, toasts, dinner and all of the their reception events take place. The moment that resonates with me the most is their genuine, affectionate love. I remember later looking at the DJ, with Cutting Edge Events, and noticing tears streaming down his face as the couple shared their last dance…powerful stuff people. Lastly Alex + David entered their limo (provided by Uptown Valet and Transportation) and drove off into the night. Alex + David’s Wedding at McNay was one to remember. We are looking forward to visiting with Alex + David for the upcoming styled shoot organized and envisioned by Mitzi, Bride on a Budget .
